Author and Reader enables a deeper literacy

The way we look at it is that tools can help foster a deeper literacy in two ways, through:

• Simplifying workflow through removing unnecessary steps

• Extending the user’s abilities to interact with their information to see and make connections

Specifically, Author removes unnecessary steps for citing and exporting documents. Author also provides the user with a distraction free environment in an instant.

Author further extends the user’s ability to interact with their connections through making navigation and views of their document richer through Fold and Find, as well as instantly being able to see the document based on different criteria.

Author encourages the user to define concepts as they work with them, allowing them a natural way to connect their knowledge and to view the connected knowledge in a concept map.

Much of this is also possible in Reader, and Liquid gives the user instant access to a myriad searches.
